FAQ

  • Why do this course NOW? We can't do an event right now anyway.

One of the best things to do when hosting an event is plan ahead. Months ahead. Think of what kind of re-opening event, or community help event you could do later this year. So, taking this course now sets you and your team up for success this September, October, November and/or December... Thanksgiving, Christmas. There is great opportunity coming and you want to get ahead of the curve on this with a well-thought out event set up for Kingdom impact.

  • What do you mean Kingdom impact?

Events really are about more than drawing the community to your location so they will hopefully, someday, maybe, (keep your fingers crossed and pray) attend your church. Outreach, or drawing others to Christ, just doesn't happen that way today. Events are about intersection with your community and need to be planned and executed with 21st Century Kingdom objectives.

  • Do you have a payment plan?

Yes. This course is six modules in length and each module is packed with concepts and practical application and downloads. This is a value-packed course and we do have a 3-payment option.

  • What real-life credentials does the instructor have?

Your instructor worked in marketing and advertising before a call to ministry where she served 15 years in the church setting. That said, you learn the most from living it and learning from the experience. So, yea, we ran outta candy... once. LOL. For more on your instructor, READ BELOW.

Then, came the call into ministry. She earned a Master’s of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary. Her dissertation explored kenosis in the life of the leader, the act of surrendering to God’s purposes to lead others to do the same. She became interested in church planting and a kingdom-oriented emphasis in seminary and further studied how to lead change that is transformational. She prefers thinking out-of-the-box. She served as lead pastor for three churches, and associate for two others for a total of 17 years of pastoral experience. The most recent was as founding pastor of DownRiver United Methodist, a ¬¬Vital Merger of 4.5 congregations who came together to do a new thing. All congregations left their buildings, pooled their assets, worshipped in a school setting for 4 years before purchasing and renovating a 13,000 square foot building on 10 acres southwest of Detroit. Prior to that, and while working on her doctorate, she served at Attica UMC, a small membership church that experienced 30 percent growth in membership during her time there. She led the church to develop outward focused ministries which still operate today. She is a wife, a mom to three grown sons, and is fur-Mom to two rescues (a bouncy Pomeranian and cat) and a miniature schnauzer. Her hobbies include cycling and creating stained glass.
